VLS have staff from a range of different backgrounds, all with deep roots in the horticultural industry. Our experienced team can work in consultation with you around any on orchard sampling or surveying work required, providing a start to finish service. Some examples of services include, soil and leaf collection, residue collection, bud and flower counts, monitoring and trail programs.
During the Kiwifruit season our team, on behalf of Zespri, collects and tests fruit for 'clearance to pick' (CTP) where it is determined if the fruit is ready to be picked, packed and shipped. Each season we perform over a million individual tests. We offer a full service that includes the collection of samples and laboratory testing, with lab staff operating 24 hours a day to ensure growers get their results as quickly as possible.
